Itinerary
Dates: September 27th - October 5th, 2025
Welcome to Japan! After arriving at Haneda Airport, our private transport will take you to our hotel in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district, known for its luxury boutiques, world-class dining, and dazzling streetscapes.
Day one is bound to feel like a culture shock—in all the best ways! So, what better way to dive in than with a Food & Drink Tour in Ueno? Skip the tourist traps and explore hidden gems loved by locals, like standing bars and cozy taverns. It’s the perfect way to familiarize yourself with Tokyo’s incredible flavors and vibrant culture from the very start!
DAY ONE - Start off Right!
Rise and shine, friends! We’re kicking off the day at teamLab Planets, an interactive museum where we’ll walk barefoot through water, explore immersive art installations, and connect with stunning gardens that bring out our inner child—it’s an unforgettable experience.
Afterward, the afternoon is yours to explore Tokyo at your own pace! Need inspiration? Marcel and I can recommend the best spots, from the vibrant streets of Harajuku to shopping in Roppongi or the buzzing nightlife in Shinjuku. The city is yours to discover!
DAY TWO - Immersive Art and Exploration
Enjoy a free morning to explore more of Tokyo at your own pace—discover new districts, revisit favorites, or soak in the city’s charm.
In the evening, join us for a Sake and Wagyu Pairing hosted by Fisse Ro and his family. Savor a 7-course meal featuring various cuts of Wagyu beef, each perfectly paired with seasonal sake. A true celebration of Japanese flavors awaits!
DAY THREE - Come Hungry!
It’s your last day in Tokyo—make the most of it! Whether you’re staying close to the city or venturing further out, this is your chance to dive deeper into everything Japan has to offer.
Need some inspiration? Head to DisneySea for a magical escape, BookOff to explore one of the largest thrift and repurposed stores, or the Ghibli Museum to step into the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli.
Use your time wisely and savor every moment of Tokyo’s endless wonders!
DAY FOUR - A Day to Remember
Pack your bags—it’s time to hop on Japan’s iconic bullet train, the Shinkansen, which can reach speeds of up to 320 km/h (200 mph)! As we zip south to Kyoto, be sure to grab a window seat for stunning views of Mt. Fuji as we zoom past.
Once we arrive, you’ll have time to settle into our accommodations and unwind before our evening activity: a Ramen Making Class! At a local ramen factory, you’ll learn how to craft ramen from scratch—making the noodles, mixing the soup, and adding your favorite toppings. The best part? You’ll enjoy your freshly made bowl of ramen afterward
DAY FIVE - Bullet Trains and Ramen
We’re kicking off the day early with a visit to the breathtaking Kiyomizu-dera Temple during sunrise—it’s worth it, I promise! But if early mornings aren’t your thing, no worries—you can join us later for the rest of the day’s stops.
For those starting with us, enjoy the peaceful beauty of the temple and its incredible views. Afterward, we’ll explore the surrounding area, where you can spot real-life Geishas, snack on matcha treats, and pick up good-luck talismans. Later, we’ll venture to the iconic Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, a magical escape surrounded by towering bamboo. It’s a day full of Kyoto’s charm, no matter where you start!
DAY SIX - Views on Views
Today, we’re taking a quick 30-minute train ride to Osaka, Japan’s food capital and a city bursting with energy and excitement.
Once we arrive, the day is yours to explore! Stroll through Dotonbori, the ultimate food mecca known for its neon lights, street eats, and the iconic Running Man sign. Feeling playful? Head to Universal Studios Japan for a day of thrills and fun. For something unique, visit the Cup Noodles Museum, where you can design your own custom noodle cup. Shopping enthusiasts can hit up the trendy Shinsaibashi district for everything from high fashion to quirky finds.
It’s your day to taste, explore, and experience the vibrant charm of Osaka!
DAY SEVEN - A Tasty Adventure
Enjoy a free morning in Kyoto to wander, uncover hidden gems, or revisit your favorite spots one last time.
In the evening, we’ll come together for a Drool-Worthy Farewell Dinner—the perfect way to savor Japan’s incredible flavors and toast to an unforgettable trip before your journey home tomorrow.
DAY EIGHT - Last bits of Japan
Catch your long flight back home and reminisce on all the incredible memories as you sort through those photo gems. Don’t forget to share the magic with friends and family using #TravelwithCastles!
